WIWW: Textures
It is Wednesday again! I’m here to own up to what I wore this week although the pajama days are pictured. (Those are only upon request!) It was a busy week for us!
This week’s theme is apparently textures. I love mixing textures and am happy with how it went this week. This lace top can be worn so many ways. I paired it with a tough denim jacket and some black knit pants. The boots really pull it together.
I bought these pants to use in place of black leggings. They are a little thicker and not quite as revealing as leggings often are. I can’t wait to style them again.
Jacket: thrifted, Shirt: Sew Dang Cute, Pants: TJ Maxx, Shoes: American Eagle (OLD!), Watch: ONE little MOMMA, Bracelets: vendor booths at festival
Can I say I just love this hat? It works great with these neutral stripes and cropped cargos. These gold ballet flats have also been a wonderful purchase. They go with everything! I bought mine last year, but if you find a pair- I’d still recommend them!
Hat: F21, Shirt: GAP, Pants: GAP, Shoes: Old Navy, Bracelet: garage sale
I dyed these corduroys last fall and I still love the color. It took dying them three time to get to the right color, but it worked! The textured cords, knit wrap and felt hat were an interesting combo.
Hat: F21, Top: Downeast Basics, Cardi: Old Navy, Pants: American Eagle (dyed), Shoes: TOMS, Bracelet: Paparazzi
This is what I wore to my brother’s birthday dinner on Sunday. I love that Soren gave a perfect response- he said this outfit beat what I wore on our first date! He has never said that one! Blush.
Top: GAP, Scarf: Target, Jeans: TJ Maxx (Lucky Brand), Shoes: Old Navy, Watch: ONE little MOMMA
Have a wonderful wardrobe week!

Love all of these looks! Great layering! And you have lovely photos!

If Niki above is obsessed with your boots...is it ok if I am obsessed with that jean jacket? It is perfection. Just the right color.
ReplyDeleteI need to go thrifting.

Mixing textures is such a fun thing to do for fall! You did a great job. Loving the denim jacket. AND the cords.

Cute outfits! That hat looks great on you!

Very cool combinations as usual. The burgundy hat is so cute. I got one at lucy that is very similar.
ReplyDeleteDaphne.
How do you drape your scarf like you did in that last outfit? I love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Nina! I'll do my best to describe it for you. I start by hanging the scarf around my front like a necklace with each end over one shoulder. Then I pull one end around to the opposite side around the front. Then pull the other end over to the other side around the front. Then I tug at one corner of the ends of the scarf to make them hang angled rather than straight across. This tightens up the top edge of the front of the scarf. (The part hanging like a necklace.) I hope that makes sense- it is so hard to describe!
DeleteThe black pants you got from TJ Maxx, are they like Jeggings or more like jeans? I can't find black pants unless they are like office/work pants, where they are wide legged at the bottom.
ReplyDeleteThe pants are like a thick and somewhat stretchy ponte knit. They are cropped. I have heard that GAP's ponte jeggings are amazing- but haven't been able to snag them in my size. I do wear black skinny jeans often too.
