Giving Tuesday- Nordstrom and Children's Miracle Network Hospitals

Happy Tuesday friends! I hope you've recovered from the weekend and got a lot of your gift shopping done. I'm pleased to report that I bought more for family, friends and employees than I did for myself, but not gonna lie, I bought a few things for me too!

Today is the last day- and I think the best way- to finish a weekend of indulging and spending- it's Giving Tuesday! This is the day to spend a little more, but to spend with generosity and love at the core. Today I'm partnering with Nordstrom to share a great place to support on such an important day!

Giving back feels good at any time of the year, but especially during the holidays and in this season where we receive so much. Nordstrom is making it easy to give this month by partnering with Children's Miracle Network Hospitals to support children's hospitals throughout the United States and Canada. Now through December 24, Nordstrom invites customers to support CMN Hospitals through the purchase of $10 giving cards at any Nordstrom store in the U.S. and Canada. All donations will stay local to the community in which they were given, including 55 network hospitals in regions with Nordstrom stores. The donations will fund critical treatment, pediatric medical equipment and charitable care for children and their families across the U.S and Canada.

Between Rush's cleft palate and Kesler's broken arm, we've spent a lot of time at our local Children's hospital this year and we've been so blessed by the care we experienced there. We're so thankful for the treatment that we have received from our nurses, doctors and hospital in general. Supporting other hospitals feels like the least we can do to show our gratitude.

It takes intentional effort but giving and living generously is definitely something that Soren and I want to teach our kids. Soren is naturally one of the most generous people I know, and I'm always inspired by him in his willingness to give. This month we have been looking for ways to give and serve. One easy way that we chose to give this month was to decorate Rice Krispie Christmas trees and deliver them to a family that we care about. The kids had fun making the treats look pretty and they also enjoyed sharing them with friends!

This post is sponsored by Nordstrom, which means I earn a paycheck for the time and effort that it took to create the images, text and more. But in the spirit of Giving Tuesday, I'm donating what I earn today to Children's Miracle Network and I'd hope you find a way to give as well! Look for Nordstrom's giving-tree cards in store or give through this link and see what other ways you and your family can give back this season.

I'd love to hear your ideas! What other ways do you love to give back this season? How do you give back with your kids?
